Feedback on HTC cellphones

I've been reading good reviews about HTC smartphones recently. They said compared to the iphone HTC has good apps to for a lesser price. I've never tried using HTC but I'm thinling of buying one in the future. Can I get any feedback from you fellow mylotters? Are HTC phones good?
