I Love Sparks Style!

I would like to just say how much I enjoy reading the books written by Nicholas Sparks... has anyone read them, if so what is your favourite? I have to say that mine is "A Bend In The Road"... and the reason, because the book lured me into the story and the situation of the characters involved. It was so cleverly written, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I love his style of writing, and I have even been brought to tears by some of his books. The other thing of course, that some of his books have been made into movies, and so I have enjoyed the film as well... Although I have to say of course they are not as good as the books, but even so they have all the feelings there. The films that I am talking about for those who don't know are for example... "The Notebook", "Nights In Rondanthe", and more recently "Dear John", which I am hoping to watch this coming weekend.

I know a lot of people that enjoy reading Nicholas Sparks novels. I still haven't read any of them though. Maybe I'll pick up one of the books next week at the library. Glad you enjoy them.

You really should... I highly recommend them.. I had also not read his books, but a friend gave me one to read, and I loved it so much that i went and bought more of his books from ebay, and each one of his books are briliant, and they are the only books that i have read that have been the kind that I would read and not want to put down!

Can you recommend one that won't make me cry? I'd like to read something happy.

I think that all his novels have an element of sadness to them... some more than others... I have found his website so you can have a look for yourself the books that he has written and maybe find one there that you may like to read... http://nicholassparks.com/TheNovels.asp?PageID=2

I have read The Notebook and The Wedding by Sparks and I must say he is a wonderful writer!! In The Notebook I thought that Sparks managed to put across in words exactly how much Noah and Allie felt and loved each other.

I also love Nicholas Sparks' novels. My favorite is "The Notebook" and "Message in a Bottle". Those two novels made me cry. I've also seen the movies and I agree with you that the movies are not as good as the novels. However, if you're someone who has not read the novel then you would really love the movies.

I have read a few Sparks books and I've enjoyed them. Though I think his newer books are too geared towards movies. 'The Wedding' was a nice story, and I thoroughly enjoyed 'Message in a Bottle'. I have just finished 'The Guardian', Which I thought was quite good. If I have to pick a favourite, I would probably say 'The Wedding'.
