A good friend of mine just couldn't make up her mind when I asked her is she will to choose between sleeping and eating. She spends as much as a 11 hours daily and she eats a wide range of food especially ice-creams, chocolates, apple pies, spaghetti, cakes, biscuits etc.right after she wakes up from her sleep. She simply loves to sleep and eat. You can actually can imagine what her weight is like. But it doesn't worries her for her husband loves her the way she is. But if you are to make a only one choice between eating and sleeping, which one will you choose?

You friend knows how to enjoy life through eating and sleeping. Both of them are my favourite activities. But if I can only choose either one of them, I will definitely choose sleeping. Enough sleeping make me feel calm and refreshed. But oversleeping will make me feel tired actually. When I fall asleep, I no longer feel the hunger or the crave for food.

Thanks cheongyc. You had made a wise choice because the advantages of sleeping actually overides that of eating. Firstly, it refreshes our mind, keep us alert, make feel calm you said and increases our thinking power. Secondly, it makes us look refreshed, and brighter too. That is what beauty sleep means. Thirdly, we would spend less time eating and that will decrease our food intake and reduces body weight while we are sleeping. In return, we also save money and energy too. On the other hand, eating causes more food consumption and increases expenditure. Moreover, overeating is very unhealthy as it can cause obesity which leads to alot of health problems besides making us look fat or inactive. Although eating can be so enjoyable and most people love to eat, frankly. Thanks again and have a nice day.

You are most welcome. Very well said, sleeping is having a lot of advantage compared to eating. Therefore, I think you can help your friend by enlightening her with these facts. So that she will do more sleeping than enjoying the food. This will eventually cut down her weight. Most of us enjoy eating and it's inevitable. But what we can do is control our diet. Then we can eat happily and no longer worry about the negative effect brought by eating junk food. Happy posting and have a great day in Mylot

Erm, I'm not sure because I love my food and I also need my sleep. Honestly if I don't get a decent nights sleep I am a nightmare to be around. I get really non communicative, grumpy and snappy with people. I think the best people to answer this question would be my family because they are the ones who have to live with me. LOL!

Thanks, Erm. Don't worry, we all have similar needs. Our body needs food and sleep to function properly. However, the advantages of sleeping may outweighed that of eating. Frankly, both eating and sleeping can bring such joy and happiness to many people from all parts of the world. Especially to the kind of people I am living with now, they simply loves both of these activities and they would never be able to choose or produce any answers when I asked them. It's really a pleasure receiving your response.

Thanks, permenbow. Sleeping do make us feel fresh and energises us. Sufficent sleep is vital for our health but oversleeping can make us feel lazy and inactive. This is because inactivity causes poor blood circulation. Nice to receive your respond and happy sleeping.
