Do you think that people start programs like "agloco" to get user info for future spam? How many people joined that program and promoted it thinking it would be a money maker..Now it is gone? There were many similar programs: zotspot, all advantage, spedia etc.

Yes, I believe there are many programs that are started to purely gain personal information from users. Companies are paying a lot of money for personal information these days and it is quite a profitable enterprise. I believe there are a lot of programs that run and don't close down that still give away personal information of their users. The trick is to read the Privacy Policies and Terms of Service very carefully. If it says anything about giving away your personal information to Third-Parties I would opt out of that service or program immediately! It's not worth it to be harassed with phone calls and spam just because you entered personal information on a site that then decided to sell it off to a company.
