Wordpress vs Blogspot, which one is better ?

I'm looking to start a new blog so i'm just looking to see everyone's views. I've seen some articles and topics where some stated that Blogspot is better while some felt Wordpress is better, i would love to see what mylotters have to say about it. The interesting thing from what i read in some article is that someone stated that with Wordpress you can actually get something like your own domain or very much like your own domain unlike Blogspot where you have .blogspot.com added after your blog name and your blog address looks like yourblogname.blogspot.com whereas there us no such hassle with Wordpress like you just have yourblogname.com i feel thats a big advantage for Wordpress if at all there is something like that. I've used Blogspot before but i have not used Wordpress but thats not important as i'll use any thats better. Let me know about other advantages and disadvantages that you know about these two or any other blog service if your use i'll look to check out that one too. Let me know whats your experience with Wordpress or blogspot and which one is better according to you.
