Listener Percentage

I think, in each person, there ought to be 60 percent of a listener and 40 percent of a talker--or somewhere near that ratio. Then the world will be a much better place to live in.

lols. HOW did you get this topic? ... is there something that is itching inside you, since you have started working out in mylot? ... i hope, MYLOT has influenced your listening percentage. Now, about me:
i am 200% listener, and 1000% talker. because.. just like in love, in medicine also, there is no mathematics. I am a professional consultant.. and so, there needs to be a special formula for listener-talker percentage.
and, if it is with my wife, ... i AM 10% or even less of a listener, and 90% talker. I can't dare give her a peaceful ear, lest she might start nagging me./

and, just being the talker of the party, there is always the trouble that people tend to consider me the host, and they whisper to me, about those things only the host should be informed. 
and, I miss all the misses! Just ranting. lols.
you might be a wonderful CHEF.. otherwise, why bother about tasting ?....

hahahah. if we start working out the percentages, according to what we humans have TWO and what we have ONE.. and, then, ... oh no! ... it is getting murkier, and dirty! .. should I continue? ..

Hi there Lowly Cook!
You're right. We should be a good listener so that we will be able to read between and beyond the lines and we should always be careful when talking and don't talk too much. We should also be smart with our choices of words and not only to know if you should talk or not, but also the best time to talk.

you're right, nanayangel! and that's exactly how i learned to cook Tinola and other dishes---by always listening well to my grandma while she cooked!

You're right. If everybody just listens to the one who's talking then it'd be a better place to live in. But others just won't listen. They want to be heard first before listening and i think it's selfish of them.

true..true..if only people have the heart to listen, this would be a more peaceful and better place.
just an observation...smart people never seem to know how to listen. they have this urge to transmit their thoughts. they also wouldn't listen that much because what you say is probably not new to them anymore.
