what are your top 5 make up items and why?

If you were on a deserted island and had to only pick 5 make up items to take with you what would they be? I am completely into natural and dewy look so I would go for..
Max Factor False lash effect mascara - mascara is my most essential beauty item and I LOVE big voluminious black eyelashes and Max factor is the best I've found.
Benefit you rebel lite tinted moisturiser - I have quite good skin so don't use foundation as it clogs my pores and I'm a skincare freak and this tinted moisturiser gives me a healthy tinted glow.
Benefit high beam - to highlight my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose and give me a dewy finish, don't know where i'd be without it.
YSL touche eclate - I have bad dark circles from a lot of late nighs and this makes me look like I've had 10 hours sleep it is a lifesaver.
Benefit big beautiful eyes pallette - has everything id ever need for natural everyday shadows and make my eyes look fab
As you can tell I'm pretty big on the natural look, whats yours?

Well, if I was alone on a desert island, my make up would be the least of my problems! But if I was on an island inhabited by gorgeous blokes, I guess I would care! 
I don't wear much make up most days, but I do get dry skin so I would take my Nivea Soft Intensive Creme with me. After that, my eyeliner, any brand as long as it is a pencil and does the job. Then it would be an eyeshadow palette - I'd like that Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland one, if I could afford it! Then some lipstick and finally, I'll have some sunscreen so I don't get burnt to a crisp!

yes karen but you need make up for when some hunky guy comes to save you silly, lol! and thats a very sensible list.. ive been meaning to try nivea soft it sounds good i use the blue plain nivea.

Oh yes, that's a good point!!! I don't like the original Nivea, I find it a bit greasy and heavy, but the Nivea Soft is brilliant!

for the situation of being in a deserted island,I wound't think about bringing make-up.let me revise the situation: if I were to attend a big event,what make-up items I'll bring or use.for starters,I am a fan of thick eyebrows,so I'll use a brown eyeliner.next is a lengthening and thickening mascara because I love thick eyelashes.next is a healthy cheek blush.next is a lip balm so my lips won't be dry.lastly,a concealer than can cover blemishes and hide under eye circles.

yeah maybe that was a little silly mentioning desert islands but of course people are still gonna want to look their best especially if they are rescued then put on the tv! and i love big eyebrows to i feel sick when i see girls drawing their eyebrows on really thin.. cool list

I'm not exactly into a particular brand lately, but I have a feeling that I'll be using certain make up items exclusively. But here are my 5:
1 - Black eyeliner for a quick fix, or for normal days. I can't leave the house without eyeliner on.
2 - Mascara for when I don't have much of a choice for eyeshadow color.
3 - Purple eyeshadow. It has to be matte and plum-colored.
4 - Cheek and lip tint. I don't use it for my cheeks all that much and I love wearing red lips.
5 - Orange lip gloss. I actually have to buy a new bottle. My dark skin tone works well with this, giving me a nice fresh look.

I don't really have a top 5. I only have two or three. As much as possible, I do not like wearing too much make up. Like when I go to the mall, i only wear tinted foundation and some stain on my lips like lip stain or mac lipstick.
1. tinted foundation/mineral foundation - I am using maxipeel tinted moisturizer, its a local brad. i want to try laura mercier's tinted moisturizer 'cos I've heard good reviews about it, but sadly can't afford it yet.
2. Lip stain/lipstick - just to add some pop of color in my face. I look too pale sometimes.
3. Mascara - I only wear it when I want to look dolled up
Sometimes, I would wear eyeshadow, blush, and mascara when there are special occassions or I have to go out clubbing. But the three stated above are what I used on a daily basis.

mine would be the following:
1. tinted moisturizer with spf
2. shiseido supplist powder
3. cream blush (LOLA marseilles, gives a natural hint of pink)
4. lipstick (rouge dior #345 rose award -a nice coral pink lipstick)
5. maybelline mascara

Beige or light brown eye shadows (I usually use MAC, but it can be other brands too)

I can narrow it down to two, mascara and eye liner. Of course, I'd have to have a mirror, but in turn I could use that to light a fire...Yeah, that would work. lol
