What Digital Camera should I buy?

I always use Sony Compact digital Camera. My first one was a DSC T5. The last one (the one I am using now) is Sony DSC W 190. My husband dropped that camera and though it is still usable, I decided it's time I buy a new one. With the amount of information available and different cameras available on the market, I find it hard to pick one. Could you guys help me decide which one should I get? I am not very good at taking photography. I usually don't understand most of the settings and features provided on the camera either. So I need a small compact camera, easy to use, and take good pictures even with a stupid camera-person, like me. I bought a Kodak camera before, but I was not satisfied with the quality of the pictures. I am looking to spend about $200 - $250. Your opinion and review of different types of cameras would be appreciated.

I prefer sony also. From the very first digital camera until now i only go for sony product. Sony Tx1 not bad, if you want full hd movie recorder, you can go for tx 7, if you want water proof, you can try tx5

Hi angel_liping, Welcome to myLot and thank you for your suggestions. I have always been partial to Sony when it comes to Electronics. My mother will not buy any electronics unless it is Sony. TV, cameras, etc, everything needs to be Sony for her. lol. My husband wanted to try out Canon, so he bought a Canon IXUS 100.
