Should a HIV+ student or employer tell their school/employer about it?

The question is as stated, should they tell their employers or school about it? It is important to be honest about it to schools and employers but it would also ruin their reputation since the society still have really bad opinions about people with HIV+. This would also effect their life in school or workplace because one way or another, word goes around and they would be alienated. But I also understand the concern of other people regarding this subject, the fear of getting it also is there. Should or should they not tell them?

In my opinion, it's not necessary to tell it. Even if other persons might have the fear to get it too, they have to take care of their health. When a person has got this illness, so it's up to him or her to take care and try to avoid to transmit it whithout informing that he or she suffers it. Als healthy persons should be concious about the illnesses which exist and in the same way they try not to get a urin infection or a flu, they also should avoid the HIV+. So if I suffer this desease, I only would tell it to my doctor and to the person I could love and would like to see him or her as my partner so that this person may decide on his or her own if he or she accepts it. So I only would tell it if another person might be envolved or if I see any emergency or possibility of transmission. Otherwise, I wouldn't say anything. Because telling it whitout any mayor reason, people may get panic and this situation we also have to avoid.

It's really necessary to tell them. It's okay to tell your family and friends but not really to others. For me, regardless of how aware people to Aids and what we can and can't do, people still tend to have negative thoughts to the patients. The patients already have a lot to deal with, they might suffer from bad treatment from others.
