Is A Bullmastiff Suited As A Therapy Dog?

I am taking home my bullmastiff Missy by next week. As I have mentioned in one of my posts here I want to be able to share my dog with others. This way it will create an awareness about dogs in my city, in conjunction with the animal shelter me and my friends are planning on establishing. I just want to know if this breed is suited for the job as a therapy dog? I usually see labradors and golden retrievers or collies as therapy dogs but not bullmastiffs. I have seen the kennel where I bought Missy. The Dam and Sire have an even temperament. They are very sociable and affectionate. They are good with children and house visitors too. I hope Missy can qualify as a therapy dog. I will be happy if she is suited for the job so I can share with the rest of the city people.

I would be terrified to see that bullmastiff! lol. I dont think it would be a good therapy dog. I thought they were too tempramental for that?
