In this ongoing tri-series between SriLanka, India and Zimbabwe, today in match between India and SriLanka, captain Raina forgot to inform umpire about the powerplay and ended up giving extra 5 overs with field restriction. Why do you think this might have happened? And no-one even came to know about it for the 5 overs? But it might have proved costly to India

i dont think that international cricket can accept this sort of things. captine needs to be vigilent and active all the time mental maths and calculation of each and every item is required i think a captine must go through some sort of traing to cater these things what u think

Agree this is by no way accepted in international cricket. I guess Raina was too inexperienced maybe it was the reason...

Captaincy is new to Raina. So might have forgot it.but at international level we can not give such exceptions.Luckily we won otherwise who knows that might be a factor. Also the dressing room should have told earlier at least.

well i was not aware of that, how did it happen? if it happened its purely the lack of captaining experiance by raina made the mistake. but eventually india won the match. so i dont think that it cost much.
