Hello friends, I'm wondering do you go to theatre? If yes, how often do you do this? What does make you enjoy in going on theatre? I'm feeling that nowadays, less and less people go to watch theatre, because of many reasons. Let's see, do my sensation lie or not. ;)

HI I enjoy watching Theater Drama very much. Its fun to watch people performing live in our presence. I myself is a stage artist and i have played major roles in about 6-7 Stage Drama. And My work/performance has been admired by the viewers.

Hi dsplay, Before we come to stage lot of thing goesbehind the stage. Normally for one drama rehearsals are done for mininmum 3-4 Months so that no mistakes are done on stage. Inspite of such apractice some minor mistakes do take place. Some Artist forget one or two lines and then the co-artist is required to jump that much ahead. If artist are experienced, they will not let audiance relised the lapse. What you see on stage are the artist leaving that partcular character, the artist live that character for those 3 hours or so. An artist lives so many characters like that. The support team behinf the stage like musicians, lightmen etc also play a vital role behind the scene.

Thank you very much, for your response. This info was interesting for me. :) Take care, but if you have to break your leg on the stage, so don't take care :D (I think you know the story about going on the stage and the breaking of the leg?)

Ohhh, it's so sweetly to see that an artist responses here, on the right discussion. :) You play major roles? Tell us something about the theatre. Tell us about the other side of the stage. All we only watch and admire. What is the feeling? How do you learn to do the production without making any mistakes on the stage in front of so many people, who have fastened their eyes on you? Or maybe,we, who don't understand a lot of theatre, can't see your mistakes. It's so exciting to understand what is from the other side. :) I'm waiting for your response

The good thing about waiting for a DVD is you can have unlimited pop corn and sodas, and benefit from buying that expensive sofa in the first place right?

That's it. Me too, I only go when the movie is worthy. Plus this there's no time for watching some patchwork and the money don't fall from the sky. One question... Did you watch 2012 in the theatre? I watched it at home, and I want to know did I make a mistake. What do you think?

Hi there dsplay5, I still go to the theatre whenever I get the chance. I love the sound effects and most of all the big screen.

Yeah, the big screen and the sounds make the theatre extremely irresistible. Thanks for sharing :)

I do agree I see that less people are interested in going to the theater nowadays. I think one of the biggest reasons is because it can get expensive and people just dont have the money they used to. So I see people finding othert hings to do for nights out that are alittle cheaper.

I agree with you too. There are cheaper amusements today. It seems the people prefer them than the theatre. And what about you, do you practice it?

I do have to say that I also have found other amusements that are much cheaper than the theater these days. I think I go to the theater maybe once or twice a year compared to once or twice a month.

yes your right, its more relaxing though i did not appreciate the screen at home coz its just small as compare to theater, i used to watch twilight before in theater and when i watch it again at home i really dont like it, its not easy to see those background that i used to see in theater, i cant see the small details that i see in the theater but if its not a blockbuster movie then im just contented being at home.

Good point of view, we can't compare the little screen at home and this hundreds time bigger one in the theatre. Yes, it's worthy to can see every little detail, every little piece of the image. And if it's 3D, it's just incredible. You enter in the movie. Do you think that 3D has more visitors than the normal movies? My feeling tells me again that the people go on 3D only once or twice to check what is it talking about, and then they stop because of the prices ? What do you think?

I certainly agree less people are going to theatres these days.Maybe because there are a lot more activities and gadgets popping rather than being stuck in theatres.

I love going to the theatre and enjoy all sorts of live plays and shows there. This year so far, I have just been once to see Hedda Gabler (starring Rosamund Pike, Robert Glenister and Tim McInnerny) but we hope to go another couple of times later this year. Over the past couple of years, I saw Oliver! in the West End (London), also A Doll's House at the Donmar Warehouse (Christopher Eccleston, Gillian Anderson, Tara Fitzgerald), Arcadia (Samantha Bond, Neil Pearson, Jessie Cave), Othello (Lenny Henry) and many others. I love musicals, straight plays, Shakespeare, classics, farce, comedy - most things really! It is just a shame theatre tickets are expensive or we would go more often.
