What are the advantages and disadvantages of having a sister?

Hi... The only thing that annoys me of having a sister is being compared to her especially when it comes to achievements. I must admit she is an achiever and most of the time gets praises. I know my mother is doing it to challenge me to do better but when it comes to my relationship with my sister, I'm so thankful and blessed because I consider her the best. Nothing more to ask for, the kindest and the most dependable individual i knew.

Wow, I have six sisters and three sister-in-laws, and I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world. Granted, we haven't always gotten along, but those times have been very few. Sisters are a blessing. We have wonderful conversations together about everything under the sun. We help each other with our hair, makeup, and clothing styles. I will always be thankful that I have sisters.

Sisters are the greatest siblings. One advantage of having a sister is you have a friend forever. One disadvantage is you will not always agree and she may not ask to borrow things from you. All in all, sisters are worth more than gold.

I'm the youngest of three sibings and we're all girls. The advantages of having sisters are: you share a lot of stuff like clothes, make-up, jewelries, secrets, books, and what-have-yous, especially if you have the same interests. They can always give sound advise on general matters and especially on handling relationships and most especially about boys! Sisters are like a reflection of yourself (if your a girl), so they always share their lessons learned in life. Petty quarrels are very common for sisters. Privacy between sisters is sometimes rare. It's difficult to keep a secret to a sister because if she ever found out you kept one, then it will hurt her big time. People will always compare you with their achievements. If you have a sister, you could either super love them or super hate them. The feeling changes depending on the situation.

Advantages are that they care and disadvantages is that you have to share everything that you have in life with her.

I envy people who have sister or a brother. I am an only child and have no one to talk to about my love life (which my parents could not understand thoroughly), about my problems and other things. Before when i was a kid and did not know that's it is really impossible to have a big sister, my dream was to have one. I want to have her to teach me the things I can't understand and warn me over the things I am doing in wrong way. I am blessed with my parents but I still wanted to have a big sister. Ha ha ha!

We are among four sisters and two are already married. We spend wonderful moments together and this is quite a fabulous thing to do when we have sisters, we go shopping together and share secrets too. We share everything apart from boyfriends though. I am happy to have sisters like them.

I do have an older sister and I love her so much, she's like my mother and best friend to me. I can always count on her especially on financial matters and of course emotional support. We always there for each other even though we argue and shared different opinions but still we are always there for each other. When it comes to advantages, well there are few things to mentioned. While when it comes to disadvantages well I think there's someone who will be like your mother.lol

i have an older sister my only sister and the disadvantages of having a sister? well let's just say i got into a lot of fights with shady guys who wanted to date my sister scarred hands, bruises, assault and battery cases hahaha but i love my sister even if she's a pain in the @$$ sometimes (especially when shopping) i'll take all the disadvantages of having a sister just to have one "D

well i really love my sister as you do. i am living with her and her family. she's very supportive and generous and thoughtful as well, though sometimes we clash in a silent way but i love her..thanks god i have her

well i have four sisters. i think one of the advantage is that it's fun having a girl thing like shopping, and having bonding times sharing stories with each other's boyfriends but one of the disadvantage also is that sometimes my sister kept wearing my clothes without my permission. haha

i have two sisters and when we were young i experienced many disadvantages. i am the youngest, they always command me like, hey buy me some chips or anything.also, their used clothes were given to me.Instead of having new one. When i want to go with them, they don't want. But now, that we are both matured and adults it changed. They are giving me things from their salary and advice when i need. They also go out with me.

hi reco!i have 4 older sisters and my younger sister.they are five altogether.i will say that there are more advantages than disadvantages by having sister in your life.It so great to have a sister. we can help one another, laughing together, share opinions and much more.They are the closest people besides my mom that i can trust a lot.they are so much important like my other family members and plays main important roles in my life.we do argue and have a fight but we are just a normal human being.It won't take much time to get back.:)

yes!there are many disadvantages if you have a sister because everytime my mom brought me a thing i want,my sister get jealous because she want also that thing.and she also lends my thing that she likes,every thing she like of my thing she lends it.and about advantages there are many like if i have a problem she's always there for me she also give me a good advise.Even sometimes we have misunderstanding we both share our feelings w/ each other.

i have two sister and one's younger brother!like you ,but we spend last time together because everyone has a different work in different city!
