"My Way" killings in the Philippines --- a bit funny

I saw this article in Wikipedia, and I could not help but laugh. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Way_killings I am already familiar with these kinds of incidents here in the Philippines, so it is not a shock for me. What made me laugh though is that there is an article on this, which means these kind of killings are common. It is also a bit disturbing for me as people end up in violence or being killed instead of enjoying the singing. What about in your country? Does this happen too? For Filipinos (and non-Filipinos as well), what can you say about this?

It's embarrassing. And sad. But I've seen some in the news so there's no denying it has happened. Most of the killings involved drunken people, so I think it's not just the song to blame.

I agree with you too. People do a lot of nonsense things when they are drunk. And this is one of them. Most of those that were killed were drunk

No, but some early bands had to perform in cages to keep the red-necks from hurting them. Don't know if that is still a problem.
