Cheat codes are not a bug or a flaw, actually, they are there on purpose. They are written in to the code while the game is being designed for test and development purposes. It makes testing the games a lot easier and less time consuming. Gaming companies can choose to release these some of these codes when the game is finally released and often do, even if they don't give them all out.

I agree with you, if you're a real gamer then cheat codes means nothing to you. I don't use cheat codes when i am playing games. Really they suck. But there some situation when i do use cheat codes, When? When I buy a game, which is really really boring and I am forcing myself to just end the game, as just beating the game. So, I use cheat codes ( thats very rare though ) and end the game faster. Because I don't want to spend ( or i should say waste my time on that game) on that game, so i use cheat code

its up to the gamer if he wants to use cheats or not. Sometimes theres a part of the games thats too hard and you cant pass it. If he give's up then cheat is the answer.

i dont know. maybe some levels are difficult to pass. So the gamers start using cheat codes.

See its not that we are doing cheating by using cheat codes. We are just taking help of those codes. The people have given the name cheat codes. But if you look these codes in another point of view then they are just helping us. I too accept that there shouldn't be any of these type of codes but they are just for helping us. You can't call it cheating. If people call it cheat codes that dosen't mean that its a type of cheating in the game. If i want i can call it helping codes. Then there wont be any problem.

Playing games using cheatcodes, really spoils the spirit of the game and I don't use cheatcodes to play my favourite games. But game developers include cheatcodes, so that one does not get frustrated losing in the game several times. It helps them from retrading sales. anyway its up to you to use cheats or not, so why bother ? Go enjoy your game . cheers :-)

i think cheatcode inserted in many games are just to expand the gaming experience not beyond the normal game..it prolong the excitement like someone get boring on a game..its like going beyond limit but there are some people abusing it so its one thing that make cheatcode disappointing.

Sometimes I use cheat code if I cant finish the hard level. I spend more time to finish one level so I use some cheatcodes. But I did not recommend to use cheat when competing with other. In our location, there are a lot of gamers who join to a competition. The organizer did not allow using cheats. Using cheatcodes for a lone gamer is good but not in competition.

Cheat codes aren't really flaws, they're more like Easter Eggs. The old Fallout had a magical floating trunk of holding that let you carry around anything you wanted. It wasn't a bug, though. Kind of a cheat, kind of a little bonus and always really entertaining. I think a lot of developers put cheat codes in to give people something to hunt for. Once you've finished the game, looking for cheats gives you a reason to go back.

I use cheatcodes in hard moments in games. In some games like GTA 3 cheat codes adds a new vehicle in game or other things. In Diablo 2 i use "players - 8" code for faster making experience. In NFS Most Wanted cheats opening new bonus cars and Burger King challenge. Cheats are like bonuses in the games, it`s normal to use them.
