All gurus state that Facebook fan pages are great sources of earnings. Almost all social media marketing gigs focus on FB fan pages, people are increasingly using fan pages to promote more and more. If you take a look at freelance sites or reputed forums marketplace, then you will find hundreds of job offers related facebook fan pages available everyday. But can all facebook fan pages can really profit? Do facebook fans convert into sales? (1) Big brands effectively use facebook fan pages and they claim that they viewed clear increase in sales & reputation from facebook fan pages in short time. This is absolutely right, I admit it. Surely they make big profit from FB fan pages. But the scenario is not same for small business solutions. Because people trust brands and like to engage with their activities. Whenever they disclose any discount or coupon or new offers they jump for them. But is it same for small businesses? (2) Big facebook fan pages have millions of fans, Nokia has 1.2 million fans, Intel has over 100k fans. Big celebrities also have great fan base, Celine Dion has 350k fans and her manager manages to sell her songs & dvd's from fan page. The number game is obvious in this case. Big fan pages make big money. What about small fan pages? Can they really make money from 500 fans? (3) I want to sell website/wordpress templates and ebooks from facebook fan pages. Do you think that it is possible to profit from facebook fan pages? If I have 2000 fans then can they convert? I have some doubt about this topic, because people on facebook like to surf, find something interesting and pass time with their friends. Do they really purchase anything?

I guess facebook fans convert into sales in a way. You know its all about marketing. The more people you have to see your product the high chances you get to sell.
