Who do You Serve

Some people really struggle to serve, some serve because it makes them feel good about themselves. Others just love to serve, they seek a role in life and find their place in the gentle and yet not always conforting arms of the church. They find something and someone to serve. Their life finds a reason, a purpose, and a joy. I am part of that group of people. One who would rather be doing the washing up at a party than wandering the crowd. It gives me joy to be needed, to give back. and in return i find challange and community give to me, and support for the rest of my life. We serve each other and all benefit, we serve our god and he serves us, and in the dance of life he provides the music.

He that serves even the least of my children serves me. I serve Jesus, by doing good and great things in this world.

Hi godsgardener I serve Jesus for a different reason. When I accepted His FREE gift of mercy and Him into my life, He asked me to serve. Serving demonstrates who my Savior is. Greetings, Every morning it starts with submission to Jesus to start my day, then I am able and have the willingness to serve those in my home and others because of the love of Jesus in me. In order to serve others one needs to submit fully to Jesus then it is through Him, because of His love, we are able to serve others. Sometimes we can do good things but for the wrong reasons including serving others, this is the reason why we need to submit ourselves fully to Jesus, our submission to Him shows we are serving others for the right reasons, because of the love of Jesus in us. I have served others in a variety of areas in my life by realizing that I need to submit to Jesus because this is what Jesus did daily by submitting Himself to the Father because the love of the Father was in Him He was able to do the will of Him who had sent Him. It is a joy to serve others because of the love of Jesus. Once I realize this,it made my life more fulfilling. Have a blessed day.

well, its a good question about serving jesus, Sometimes I realize that by being so overwhelmed with many thing in life, I tend to forget my purpose in life. I even asked my self, why am i still living in this world. What is really my purpose in life. Do I serve my self or jesus?. Right now I am confused ,I am in the midst of struggle between serving God or serving others(loveones,job). Please give me some advice about my purpose in life, I am so empty right now...
