Bad credit and need an emergency loan any suggestions?

Well, I have gotten into a bit of problems lately and thus need to find an emergency loan, however my credit is absolutely horrible thanks to a number of issues that took place over the past year. If there is anyone that has had this problem, what did you do? How did you get the emergency funds you needed? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Mind you family is out of the question at this point.
