We are a family of four - I, hubby and our two boys - 7 and 10 years old. We spend a lot of free time together playing board games, which I think help so much in bonding and also teach kids some core values like being fair, taking defeat supportingly and adapting to rules besides finding various ways of circumventing the rules! Over the years, we, as a family, have graduated from playing Ludo, and snakes and ladder, to Monopoly, Destination, Scrabble, among many others. Current hot favorites are - Monopoly and Scrabble. Would love to hear from other members asto what their favorite family activity is!

hi there, well its just me & my husband now and so any activity will do for us. hehe but when i am still living with my parents and my brother our favorite family activity to do is playing scrabble! its fun and healthy for the brain as well. but sometimes it also triggers some bit misunderstandings! haha specially when someone is losing and the other one is teasing! lol! but still its our favorite thing to do and it makes us closer. its fun when its me, my mom & father and my husband playing...hehe and since that time my brother is still young, he usually just there watching and its a good thing that because of such activity in the house he learned it well and he ends up being a scrabble champion in their school! another activity that we like is eating/snacking together! and going out and watch a movie.

When my children were younger, we loved playing board games together. We also loved playing card games. now they are teenagers. Outdoor activities are what we do together now. We love playing volleyball, croquet and badminton in the summer months. Sled riding is big for us in the winter months.

Something I do with my family a lot is just go camping, or sometimes, we even play Scrabble. A lot of the time we watch movies together, although I don't consider that as much of family time as I would other things. We don't really get much family time though, because everyone in the family is working and we are going to school, and everything. So we only get nights and weekends, and the seldom vacations that we all take off, to spend time together. Although, probably, the most common thing we do is have a family book out, inviting the grandparents and aunts and uncles/cousins over.
