Well, I am windows and Mac OS X both, but after using mac operating system, i realized I never used windows. For games, I prefer playing games on xbox 360, PLaystation 3 or wii. I think i will never use windows again in my life. If Apple continues to make good operating system as they are making.

i agree that MAC has quality .. but there are many applications which dont run on mac and also many gmaes which matters to me.also many hardware drivers are not detected by mac which is a matter or concern. i dont disagree with your point. but quality that mac provides cant take over windows according to me.

I will always prefer Mac OS , it is the best. No viruses or other bad things which is harmful for the computer. Painless experience. The one thing i really love about OS X, i mean Apple operating system is that, it is easy to use and everything works out nicely. For me Mac OS X is the best. XP only if you're into gaming.

You're rights on games part. Their is no alternative to windows gaming, but many games on xbox or ps3 or wii, they are unseen in pc world. Most of the top rated games comes on console. You will say that pc have some games which are unseen on console, they still they are not big titles.

well i prefer xp over mac .. because the huge number of applications , games etc .. run properly on windows .. where as mac has only a limited number of applications and games . also xp is user friendly and supports all assembled computers and drivers for all hardware parts. but its a different case in Mac. many of the hardware parts fail to configure in a mac os.

I am bit of shock from your comments. I can its your views, but I intent to disagree with you. Please don't mind it. But i think you're little mislead here. I am using Mac OS X from a while ago and XP from the start. The problem I had with XP were pathetic. Really the experience as not good with XP. Mac only problem is with games, but now its changing. In future you'll see Mac side by side with windows in terms of gaming. Windows have many many applications, but mostly are crapwares only. Mac OS X have high quality of application. Nowadays good piece of hardware works nicely with mac as well, many don't but still its not that big issue

I would surely go with Windows XP because of the variety of applications it supports. Great for GAming and hardware compatability is great

I don't have a mac so I don't have any mac experience. But I guess mac is better than windows operating systems.Mac is a unix like system. It is stable and fast and of course easy to use.Windows is not safe and slow.

I prefer windows 7 for its lovely appearance And fast working. But I am not saying that mac or xp is not good They are best for another features. So There is nothing like good or bad in operating systems. Its all dependent on your computing skills. Some peoples say that Xp gets hanged several times Its not systems fault Its operators fault. So I prefer use any OS well to make it good for you.

Herro itsmealby I have used both OS, however I prefer XP. MAC is probably very different from when I used it several years ago, however I have used XP for years and am used to it. I do not want to learn a new system and/or buy new software.

I always try to avoid OSX as much as I possibly can. In addition to Macs being built on mediocre hardware that you MUST get from Apple, they make the OS a pain to use if you want to be able to do more than browse the web and edit video. They bury everything of importance. For a system administrator it's hell. Also, as others have mentioned already, Windows simply has a MUCH larger app base than Mac. Personally, I don't believe anybody when they say Mac will be side by side with Windows in terms of gaming soon. The only studio that is making games for the Mac as anything other than an afterthought (well after the PC version is released, mind you) is Blizzard, and they've been doing that since they started making computer games. I'd take Windows over Mac, but personally I'd rather use Linux than either one. For anyone who hasn't used Linux before, try Ubuntu http://www.ubuntu.com/ , I bet you'll never want to go back.
