How often do you intend to go on a vacation?

I think that I am a workaholic, and I haven't gone on a vacation for 2 and half good years. I guess most of my time was buried in work, and consider how to make some extra money. I do really want to take a long vacation and just get out of the country for goodness sake. I need it, and somehow I just don't find a good reason to take off yet. I might have to compromise with my friend's schedule, because I hate to go on a trip on my own. I need some company. So, I just hope that my friend won't be busy at all.

well i think at least twice a year we should go on a vacation, but if money is the problem.. well i think we could make do with once a year of vacation... something that will make you feel relaxed and worry free of course.

Hi chiyosan: I think that to go once a year would be ok for our health. In my case is easy because I'm single so I take part of my money to save for the next vacations I'll have this year. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day. ALVARO.

I often think of a vacation. once in a while we plan and go for a vacation. every year we would go once for long vacation like a week, then two times a year a weekend getaway. i would like to go more often as it refreshes me.

I like going to vacations, and in a year, I usually use up all my vacation leaves. I mean, they are there for a reason, and I take full advantage of it. As my boss said, it's a work-life balance. LOL. In a year, I usually have a vacation with my family, and then with my friends. I really want to enjoy my life while still young, cause I may not be able to do it when I'm older and I have a family.

It sounds like you need a vacation big time! Don't overwork youself because it can make your body prone to illnesses. Going out of the country sounds wonderful and I hope your friend can take some time off to go along too. Just have other fun plans just in case if your friend might be a little busy. But I understand about wanting to have a friend to go along with. Me and my best friend recently went on the Royal Caribbean's Mariner of the Seas for 7 days and it was wonderful. She and I haven't seen each other physically in 5 years and it was nice doing fun and crazy things with her. We bought ours early and it was very affordable and you can even buy pretty late and the prices were actually were cheaper. So that's a option. Whatever you do, I hope you get to enjoy yourself. Remember enjoying life and health is more imporatant then getting all the money you can. ;p

Hello swetashah. To have a vacation is a good way to relax ourselves. Well, I am a teacher and I have both summer and winter vacations. Besides, these two long vacations, we also have some other holidays though not as long as these two. Now we are almost at the end of the spring semester and we are at the end of the semester. We will soon start to have our summer vacation at the beginning of July. I am looking forward to it, a time for us teachers to have a good rest from a long school semester. Anyway, I wish you to some day enjoy yours, swetashah.

I wish I could say I take a vacation yearly, but the truth is I haven't gone on a real vacation in 15 years. I have taken like a weeks vacation off work, but during the time off of work I did not go anywhere and I actually did stuff for work while I wasn't at work. The closet thing I've had to a vacation in the last 15 years was last october when my boyfriend and I wen t out of state for a day in a half to see a rock concert. Getting away from work and life for a few days or even a week is so hard. I have a daughter who is almost 4, and another one on the way ... once the 2nd one is born I wont be going on vacation until I get a job that pays a lot more money thats for sure!

i don have money to go vacation whether short or long vacation. If short vacation i think it better safe money for children education ,tuition or toys or books. If long vacation i don have the money.Better save the money for foods and bills.I prefer go for movies, walking and such.Sleeping is good luxury also.If got time or holidays i can sleep longer. My girlfriend also save money. All the holiday annual leave safe for her part time studies or days need to take leave to attend examination.Basically we rather save the money than spend on holidays.

My husband and I are pretty occupied with office works as well. Each year, we take time off during our anniversary or christmas season to unwind and get some rest. This however is still limited to up to 5 working days because we have to consider the number of leaves we can consume. Also, the load we have at our respective offices will need to be considered.
