Hi, Yeah it is true. They are not providing support for Windows Xp. In fact, they released Windows Vista and Windows 7 to slowly replace Windows Xp. Still it will probably take another decade to entirely replace Windows Xp from everyone's computer. All the modern processors and caching are supported by Windows Vista. If your system hardware is at least a year old, you will get optimized performance with Windows Xp. But if you get to change your hardware, or decide to buy a new computer, its either Windows 7 or, Windows Vista that you will have to use. Thanks. God bless you

I hear someone still using Windows Xp with their multiple processor systems. I don't know if they understand this, but they may get much enhanced performance with their hardware if they switch to Windows 7 or Windows Vista.

I'm still using XP & I'm still getting updates. I was told 2 years ago that XP support would be stopping in 6 months. I'm ALWAYS one of the last to stop using any Windows OS. By the time I get to Vista, it will already be obsolete too!!! I've not gone to 7 simply because I can't afford a new computer & printer at this time. Microsoft has ALWAYS worked out their OS so they force their customers to have to buy new computers. How else are they to make money???

i've heard that xp is being cancelled because all of the new systems are being built with 7, vista, and what not. XP is just getting obsolete.

Although Windows has moved on to vista and windows seven i prefer XP as the better operating system of the three I think vista and windows seven try to hard to be like mac. i don't know thats just what I think

I think unless the upgrade will be necessary there wil be many users which will still use XP. On my school there is still systems with XP and school crew dont want to upgrade. But this is maybe pricing issue which I honestly think have not more than 50% of us.

I am the one who haven't following the crowd :P Windows 7 specs is too high for my oldie junkie. So I can say Windows 7 is ideal for current released computers, while old computers uses Windows XP as standard. Although I would move to 7 if I upgrades my hardware. Oh, about your question, they still release product updates until 2014, from what I've heard.

Ehhh? Is that for real! God! I knew it! They're doing this on purpose so that lots of people will buy their new products and scrap the old one! ):
