Why do cats like pooping in gardens??? A strange thing...

I hate cats. But that has nu'n to do with why cats seem to favor pooping in gardens (typically other people's gardens/lawns). And they do this willy nilly. But why gardens??? I've read numerous disgruntled cat-related posts about how they poop in people's gardens lmaooooo. Cats are evil creatures, in my opinion.
Why do they like to do this?

i hate cats as well...it's not just they like to poop in the garden near my bedroom window, but their poop really smells horrible and they like to drop their nastiness in the same places! it's a wonder why they do that, i'm thinking they're territorial. also, i hate how they always dig up our beautiful plants!

Seriously, i never understood why them creatures like doing that. Every week or so someone is complaining that a cat got into their garden, ravaged the patch, and pooped in it! haha. I have a friend who owns a cat, and it gets out into its neighbor's yard and poops. The neighbor threatened to kill the cat if my friend didnt get it under control (which i dont understand how it coulda got outta control in the first place).
I never grew outside but i'm sure one would poop in mine. Sorry about your predicaments.
No self control and lack of training maybe... some ppl just let their cats do whatever. Disgusting little things they are.
