Hi! I am not sure about Bible, but if you are interesting in meditation for improvinng your mind and way of life, please, try to find the next book-CHANGE YOUR LIFE IN SEVEN DAYS by Paul McKenna.- www.paulmckenna.com.There is a meditation disc also. My opinion is that it is very useful for your abilities.

I agree to those who first responds to you, you really need to pray to ask guidance from the Holy Spirit before you read the bible, and you have to read it everyday chapter by chapter everyday (one chapter a day may do) then get the verse that strikes you the most and meditate on it. 1Corinthians 10:12-13 (Youth Bible) Even if you think you can stand up to temptation, be careful not to fall. You are tempted in the same way that everyone else is tempted. But God can be trusted not to let you be tempted too much, and he will show you how to escape from your temptations.

EVERY Chapter & Verse of the Bible speaks a different peace & meaning to each person who reads it as we are ALL looking for something different. The words of the Bible that speaks to me might not mean anything to you. You need to read & learn the Bible for yourself & you will find what gives your mind peace!!! I find that praying to God direct helps to give my mind more rest that reading the Bible. Every person's search follows a different path & you need to determine the path you need to take!!!

I have been through a lot of mind troubles in my life too... and, at some point, I have had the thought of having someone tell me just exactly what to do and where exactly to find the answer... If I may, I suggest an honest prayer before opening your Bible.. You see, the Word of God speaks to us but sometimes, our heart and mind are engulfed in our little and big noises that we cannot hear God's sweet small voice. An honest prayer is something like you tell God to help you clear your heart and mind so you can hear Him speak.. and then I also suggest reading Jeremiah 18: "....As the clay is in the potter's hand, so are you in my hand". This verse had been comforting me; it reminds us to be still and believe that God, in His awesome power, will never allow something beyond our capacity to come our way. For me, it means that if something of that sort does come, God has also made a way of escape for us. 1 Corinthians 10:13 "There has no temptation taken you bu tsuch as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it"
