Guys i don't know what about you all but i can't really stick to one cell phone for more then three or four months, maximum six but not more then that.No matter how costly or sophisticated a phone may be, after a period of time it gets kind of boring.I'm 18years of age and till date i've changed like some 10 cell phones. So i'm just curious to know that how you people deal with your cell phones.

You seem to be wasting money. I change my mobile phones when they break not when im bored of them as long as i can make calls and texts on them i will keep using it. I have had my current phone for over a year and i have no intention of changing it until it breaks down. I always keep my phones for years on end.

Nopes dude not exactly.I mean i do keep changing phones but i also keep in mind that i've to get away with old one.So changing phone doesn't mean that i throw the old phone in dustbin :-d.I keep my phone in good condition and then i sell it before buying new one.So i add some money from my pocket money to the money i got from reselling the old phone and with some difficulties i manage to get the new one. BTW,right now i've iphone 4 in minD.Lets see what happens. :-d

I have been using six cell phones since the first time and I have never been able to stick to only one of them, the first one was for my friend, I had to return, the second was mine and got lost in January 2008,the next is from my boyfriend who gave it to me to use, then my sister lend me hers, when I join a company to work, they gave me one it is a nokia and shortly after the phones turns bad so they gave me a ZTE to use. Now I want to buy an Iphone.

The first phone that I had, I kept it for 9 months, but I had lost it, so my mom bought me another phone on May 9 or 10, 2008. I kept that one for 13 months, but I was careless to keep my phone in my swimming trunks while I was in the water. The phone got wet, became unusable, and my mom had to buy yet another cell phone. I've been having my current cell phone for almost 12 months (that's one year).

I don't know for all the other youngsters like me but i keep with one cellphone untill it's time to change to another one. I can easely hold the same phone for years and years. The last phone i had is around 5 years old then the touchschreens started coming. Only reason i wanted them was because of the music player function. Altough the one i currently have is an LG arena which pretty much is an iphone like design and software....

That's just crazy! BUT, if you have the money to do it, that's all you. I know personally that I can't afford to purchase phones left and right, especially considering the fact that each time I do purchase a new one I'm paying in the 3, 4 humdreds. I try to stick with whichever current phone I have until something goes wrong, it's no longer working, and I have no choice but to buy a new one. Have you ever thought about Cell Phones Anonymous?? LOL ;)

Hi roxyoo, I can understand you. My boyfriend is similar with you. He changed five mobile phones last year, and two this year this year including Nokia, Moto, LG, Meizu, and so on.He likes mobile phone very much. Everyday he reads news about mobile phone which will be launched in the near future. He knows almost all of the models of every moblie phone company. The mobile phone Nokia5230 I am using now is the one my boyfriend used in the past. This is my second mobile phone. I used the first mobile phone Moto for about four years. Since I know my boyfriend, I have had more mobile phones to use.... Now my mother, father, sisiter, younger brother and my boyfriend's mother have changed their mobile phone. My boyfriend gave them.........

I've had my oldest cellphone for about 6 years now. My newer one is about 3 years old. I don't get bored with my cellphones because I only have them for their basic functions. As long as I can send and receive SMS, call out and receive calls, take some pictures, sometimes listen to music, use it as an alarm clock and remind me when it's somebody's birthday and of course as a dependable phonebook, then I don't really need to change them. I don't mind if they're kinda old. I don't use them as a fashion accessory anyway.

I think you depend too much on your cell phone for entertainment, that's the problem. I love my cell phone and as long as it works I'm cool with that. You need to have some fun preferably fun not involving your phone.

for me, if it's still working, there's no way i will dispose it unless i'm 'given' a new one, meaning i didn't have to buy it. i think you keep on changing cellphones because you want new things but with me, i stick to the original purpose for having one...to keep in touch with the people that matter to me.

Cellphones are very important nowadays but I'm not really into it, I mean as long as its still functioning then I would still keep it. I bought mine 5 years ago and its still in good shape, i can still call, send and receive sms, and take pictures. I just need the cellphone for communication so this is good for me. But then I can't blame some who would want to have the new ones coz they're very modern and you can do a lot of things aside from the basic functions. I guess another hindrance for me buying a new cellphone is financial stability, lol, if I have extra money to upgrade my cellphone then I would probably do it..

My current cellphone I've had for about 11 months. I usually change cellphones every two years. I don't really care about how my cellphone looks like as long as it could make calls but sometimes it can get boring using the same phone everyday so I usually have two year contracts for my phone so that every once in awhile I can get a new phone. In total, I've had about 4 cellphones

Wow. I keep my phone for the length of our contract. That is two years. Then we renew the contract. We get a new phone.

I usually keep my cell for 2 years before I get a new one. I think most cell phones have about a 2 year life expectancy before stuff starts to fall apart and need to be replaced. And, most contracts are for 2 years which means you get a discount on a new cell phone every 2 years when it is time to re-up your contract. I love new technology so, there will always be something better that I will want but, I can usually wait the two years until I can get a good discount on a new phone.

I change phones usually once a year, but the phone I have now, I intend to keep for awhile as it had everything on it that I could ever want or need. I had checked my phone out before I bought it, and I liked what I saw. It is a windows mobile phone, and it is one of the best phone I have ever had. Mine is a Samsung Omnia 2. this phone is really a cool phone, and I can download and instll different apps on it like I can on my ipod touch. I have had the phone since March, and just now realized I could install lots of apps. I just never really paid attention to what was on my phone, until my daughter was talking about here android phone, and she asked me if I have a marketplace, and at that time I didn't know, but I do now. I can post in mylot on it, and that is one of the biggest reasons why I bought it. It does a real good job of posting too, and I am glad of that, even though I don't post in here on it all that much. It is just a nice phone. Take care, and happy mylotting.

old handphones - Old are gold. They last longer.
My first few handphones are the one used to longest each of them i used like 3-4 years until accidentally crashing down to the floor cause malfunction keypads and lost of voice and hearing speakers occurs. The one i used i think was the old erickson and the old nokia handphone. Those days erickson and nokia phones are sturdy phones ready hardy can withstand lot of punishment before dying. Those days handphones are used for plain calling and receiving and standard SMS.
