Give your friend a hot compress. Dip the end of a face towel to a hot water, wrap the end to its dry part of the towel, place it on the patient's skin all over very lightly because its too hot. Continue the process until the water became lukewarm, dip the whole face towel, squeeze the rest of the water and place it all on the patients skin all over. You will notice that the warm towel easily turns to cold. That means that the lukewarm temperature entered the body and withdraws its cold temperature to produce a balance temperature. Repeat the process until the patient's fever cool down. The patient must drink water sufficiently every 30 minutes. The fever really is cured when the patient will experience cold sweating. Just wipe those sweats and make the patient warm. Try it.

Giving her ibuprofen will help reduce the fever also. Just make sure that she does not combine a bunch of medications as this could be disaterous. She may want to try putting a cool, damp cloth on her forehead. This will not reduce the fever but it will make her more comfortable so that she could get some rest. Rest will do her good.

Give her some hot soup, preferably tomato or clear chicken soup, even if she doesn't have an appetite. Put a cold compress on her head to cool her down and make her a bit more comfortable. Ask her to drink lots of fluids and get tons of rest. Take her to a doctor if she doesn't get better in 3-4 days. I hope she feels better soon. :)
