I am finding myself to have a new last name here in about 3 weeks. I am finalizing the details on the wedding list to hand over to the DJ on Monday. What songs are a MUST HAVE and a must HAVE NOT for the wedding music list?

My music tastes are varied and uncommon. So should my wedding day playlist. Mr Big's "Nothing But Love" is one song I plan to march down the isle to. Last night, I was watching a video of Natalie Merchant performing "Kind and Generous" and I found myself feeling a bit uplifted...the same feeling I get every time I'm with my bf. So I'm adding that. One wedding I went to played a lot of Bon Jovi and the couple sang U2's "All I want is You" at the end of the party right before the band got everyone to stand up and dance to 50's rock and roll. Right after they exchanged wedding vows, they blasted U2's "Beautiful Day" on the speakers. The theme of their wedding? Bollywood Rock Formal :D They were dressed in traditional Indian (they aren't even Indian!) and encouraged everyone to dress in their bohemian best or in Indian formal. It was the best wedding I've ever been to. I believe that the music that is played at a wedding should reflect the couple's personality. I've been to weddings and have heard of wedding plans involving acoustic covers of love songs and overplayed classical standards. I love classical music, but there is just so much out there to pick from.
