hi there friends,i am now 35 years old and i think its too late for me to become successful in my career. its very unfortunate to say the least that my first job was with an IT company, so many things happened the impeded me to continue on my job as an IT practitioner. so i changed careers and on my change of careers i was not able to master a career. til now i am earning a salary of a fresh graduate =( not really that successful now that im 35. im now in a marketing / sales position in an IT company which does not pay much compared to my previous jobs as marketing specialist. when i learned that in a marketing position such as trade marketing specialist the salary is around 40 to 60k im barely making 20k which really pulls me down.what do you think my friend? what did i do wrong? or im just unlucky? please advise. Consider yourself lucky my friend because you had a job that you can depend on. Many people were jobless nowadays and that includes me. Maybe some mistake were made on the way but then it is something that you can avoid and work hard back on. As the part of you having a fresh graduate kind of salary that is good at least you have a salary. You can still reach your goals in life if you pursue it. Don't ever give up it's the matter of hanging on longer when others have given up that success will be yours. You're still young you can do a lot of things and consider the race not yet won. Just believe in yourself and don't lost hope. We have a neighbor in the province who remains a fisherman and farmer until now. They were still poor because they have no other means to escape their situation. You still have the chance...while they don't...have so consider yourself lucky.

You know here in the PHilippines, the companies take advantage of the workers so they just give a very minimal salary . I know a oerson that she was already 42 years old when her business and work became stable..so age is not the question, as long as u keep climbing and doing your part. Just be sure you know where are you going to and what are you driving at.... plan ahead and don't be just contented... demand for something you think you deserve!

I would really think that you are so lucky to end up a job like that. You are so blessed to have it, so instead of making yourself see that you are not lucky why not make things for you to be prosper more. I would say that you are successful in your chosen field. If you think you are not earning just like others maybe because they have different strategies or commission bracket. But what ever it is count the things that you have now and prosper from it. Since you have the experience why not go into master's degree so that you could also teach on your free time that would be another income as well. Teachers in colleges with master's degree has a greater pay.
