Now I'm watching the World Cup opening ceremony. Suddenly I realized that in the last 5 world cup, I was watching it on 5 different town. In 1994, I have been watching the World Cup in my hometown, Brebes, a small town in Central Java. In 1998, I watched in Semarang, capital of Central Java. Then I was in Yogyakarta at the world cup in 2002. In 2006, I was in Medan watching Italy won the match. Now I'm in Jogja waiting for the best national soccer team in 2010. Then I'm wondering, where I will be when 2014 world cup about to begin?? Do you have some interesting stories about world cup??

The only time that the World Cup has been held in Britain in my life time was in 1966 when I was just 15. I only saw the opening match (although at home on the TV) as this was the night before I was due to fly (for the first time) to spend four weeks with my pen pal in France. I didn't really see much of the rest of the World Cup if any during my time in France but on the day I was to fly home from Paris was the day of the final - when England won the world cup. We were on a coach having a tour of Paris, the match was on in French, all I can remember is hearing the French commentator saying in a French accent ( obviously!!) Charlton, Bobby Charlton. That and the fact that our plane home was delayed for hours because of the extra air traffic, are all I can actually remember from that world cup!
