you're in a contract, will you still work outside?

you were accepted in a job. but locked with a contract which it stated you must not work the same jobline outside the company. you must not engage with another company with the same business line. yet you find your salary is not enough to support your family. would you dare to work in another company for the same task or profession? what if your first company finds out. or do you have to mention it before you do. would you rather work for another line of work? you think this won't give you a conflict of interests in any situation.
