I think the article is fairly well researched.But i tend to agree with the conclusion that it could stigmatise those who are short in stature.But i somehow feel that height is related to genetics than poverty.I have found many short people have accomplished a lot in sports and other fields requiring intellectual stimulation.I would like to know what is the ratio of short versus tall people who are afflicted with heart disease all other circumstances remaining same.

They're not trying to scare short people, huh? It makes sense what they were saying about shorter people having smaller arteries and they would get clogged quicker. I wonder if I would be one of the 'shorts' because I am about five four and a half. Does cause one to pause and wonder.

I dont think so but we know we both have stents and I havent lost inches that I know of

Ah, ok. Guess it just happens to certain people. I was 5 '6" and now am 5' and 2"... Yep we both have those darnd stents ! hugssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

We presume so many things about life in a scientific way.Yes some turnout to be correct and some wrong. After all life given will be life taken - which is being maintained by the creator.So why to waste time on such things. Let us try to grow and plan a streamlined life (of course this is also not in our hands) as the saying goes "MAN PROPOSES AND GOD DISPOSES' - is my opinion.

WEll it was something I looked up for my friend and did this follow up for he wanted me too. I know short people have a perpose in life and my mom was alot shorter than me % foot 2 and she is still alive at age 90 so go figure on this shearch that tells us that short people get more heart problems than tall people Ihave stents in my heart my mom dont!

Ok -there are some wonderful things which short people do ,they have a special position in the circus which really attracts the whole audience. One thing should be remembered that short people have good strength and stamina,and their looks are wonderful.

Nice topic. this is something interesting. Being short is basically within the genes of a person, however proper nutrition is also very important in increasing the height of a person. Further studies should be conducted regarding this matter.
