I have a friend who have adopted only fruits in her meals. She eats only fruits for her survival so that she may become thin. She only eats a light meal for dinner. I would never be able to do that. What about you? Can you survive just by eating fruits?

I have done that one time in the past for one month. During that time, I only eat fruits and veggies starting at breakfast up the dinner time. And its fine with me. I did this thing to detoxify my system and it really works too.

No, it will be impossible for me to survive on fruits, taking light food is somewhat possible but we should consume what is necessary for our body.

Hi Velentina, it is dangerous to eat only fruits throughout the day. Anyway fruits have very high sugar content. Probably she forget this important point. You can advise her to eat a balanced diet, so that she can lose weight and yet maintain good health. The only meal that she can eat only fruit is lunch. That is provided she has nutritious breakfast, and a low-calorie afternoon tea break.

I can't do that. My sugar levels get all off because I need lots of protein. As long as I have protein though I am good. I have been trying to increase my activity and leave off breads and such to see if I can lose another ten pounds or so. I want to feel decent and have a decent energy level while I am losing!

Our body needs more than fruits to survive. It don't provide all the nutrients that we need. We also need protein, fats (Yes we do need them), calcium, and other nutrients that hard if cannot, to be found on fruits.

Quite possible for me. I like eating fruits too but I haven't tried it as a full supplement. Sure, it won't do any harm to us and in fact, it will be the healthiest food we can have. But there must be some varieties to take and not just confined to a single fruit.

I think so? I love to eat fruits... I think I can... But of course I'm gonna adjust and miss the meals. It will be difficult yet it can be achieve and not impossible to do for me.

That kind of diet is not good for you. She is eating a light meal and it should give her some of the things she needs. Hopefully she will not stay on this diet very long. Time will tell if her body can handle this kind of diet.

You would stay alive but you would NOT be healthy. You are missing out on important vitamins, minerals and protein and it is no way at all to eat. That is an incredibly dangerous diet. It will affect your immune system and make you ill

If she can get some fruits that have some proteins and fats in them, she should be fine. But, it is not always easy to do that.
