Everyone has their own dreams of hitting it big and being famous. Most of us, have jobs, and real lives to live everyday. But, would you give it up to become a recording artist?

It would not make it, the fact of being a star of the music, already it changes the life, and one already is accustomed to his way of life. The important thing as they say hereabouts real is to try to make our dreams when the opportunity appears us, because only it happens once in the life.

nope. being a famous rock star would be too hard work plus everyone would recognize you when you go out so you wouldnt have any privacy at all.

Well, yeah. But most people love the attention. IT would also be nice to try it out. Making music and earning money from your hobby.

I'd love to, assuming I was able to play music. But with the genre I'm interested in, even "hitting it big" would not be enough. Even the most popular bands in the genre I listen to still need at least part-time jobs to live off. I'd make the music for the fun of it, and the fun of performing, rather than the money.

Well, making music for fun is always good. But, one of the most famous drummers who drums for a multi-awarded group said, "before he only wanted to make music for fun, but now he has a family it will always be about money from then on."

if i given a chance to become a recording artist why not? if i can earn big from it rather than my old job. its such a big opportunity to someone who want to earn more money at the same time you will become famous. You will be known around the world. it is a big chance, why there is something inviting you to become a recording artist?

Well, for a fact people go into the music business all the time. They get offers, but not all get into the mainstream and earn the big dollars.

It depends on one's prerogative in life. For those who have the talent, why not? But some even if possessing the talent but aiming for a "stable job" I guess would rather stay in his/her regular employment.

Well, a dream will always be a dream. Well, you are also correct in stating that being an artists is not a stable way to earn an income.

If I could I would keep both my jobs I mean yes I love writing and making music but I also love my job as a game tester if anything I'd do both, but if I had to choose I'd stay a game tester. Some people prefer the pressures behind being famous but it wouldn't really be my cup of tea. People change when money starts to flow in and they lose themselves in things such as becoming an artist. All and all I would do it for the music and the feelings and vibes people would get from listening to my music rather then just being another face on the tv plus the glam lifestyle of a recording artist has to deal with a singer doing someone elses songs which I think is a waist of time. You need respect for your own music not someone elses and letting record companies feed off of your talent lol.

Well, in life you can not really keep both. We all need to choose one sooner or later. As I know being an artist is a busy thing to do.
