Your Current Job

What do you think of your current job at the moment? Is it something that your willing to do for the rest of your life or is it something that is just temporary until you find something better? I don't think I know what better looks like anymore. Every time I get a job the grass is always greener on the other side. The other day my friend Lauren was here and the look on her face as she got promoted, then the unrivaled shriek she let out, confirmed to me that some people do in fact love their jobs. I just wonder if I am ever going to be that excited about working or being promoted. Is the grass always greener for you or do you find utter bliss at your job? and what do you do?

Currently my job is okay just started a month ago. So far its all good and I want to excel with where I am at. I am aiming for salary more than the job right now so I do not know if I m happy with the job I am doing. I want to find another job that will pay higher but I am contented with the job right now so maybe i'll just find other things to do that pays.

take on an extra job you mean... or simply find a new job? I think money motivates most people to move up, but people like my friend are crazy they just love the type of work lol.

I've been working in retail for the last two years and really hate it right now. We have a new store manager who's a really hateful. She said we have to go by the schedule the computer prints out and it only gave me 20 hours this week. I'm supposed to be full time so I should be getting 34 hours or more. I'm going to use the extra time I have this week to do some job hunting.

I think you're right about the store manager's motives. She doesn't care about the welfare of the associates or customers at all.

I have the same problem with my manager, turns out she gets a bonus if she saves hours up for the store... I didn't know that until about last month, maybe the same for you. Most store managers prefer that their shifts are fully covered but my manager will work one of us alone during a busy day so I understand the stress completely! Good luck with your job hunt! -Wickedspies

I would say I like my present job. It is just the kind of job I am trained for. And, on top of all taht, it gives me the possibilities to travel on business trips to countries overseas. That for me is an added benefit. I very much enjoy traveling and seeing places of different cultures and traditions. There are so many things to learn !

I hope this is the last and only one from 100 jobs I did for the past 10 years. This is a telemarketing job for me. I want to do my best annd earn thousands in a month. The benefit is I get flexible hours and how much money I want to make. Other than that, I just have to work my to sell!

My cousin has done a lot of that in the past but she wasn't very good at it =[ I hope that you succeed and just do as much as you can! People love a happy voice and will buy from positive people that's for sure! Good luck! - Scott

Haha my sisters boyfriend is doing the same thing, I kind of envy that job though I mean no customers to deal with, not so much pressure from management, working alone in the back... sounds bomb get me an ipod and I'm down! lol. Maybe its not that great you don't like any part of your job?

I second that opinion. Mylot is so easy to earn on, I mean some other sites are great to for that extra income stuff if you have the time, but this site is fun and its cool to hear from all sorts of people!

Well, I am a housewife and will have to be so for a while yet, as although my youngest daughter is 14, she has Aspergers and needs me to be here for her. But I am planning to begin a part-time degree in October which will take six years. After that, she will be 20 and I will hopefully have a degree so I can hopefully look for a job then. I have spent about half my life being a mother!!

I'm not sure if I love my job. Maybe I'm still at that point in my life where I don't consider my job as stable or as promising in the long run. By the way, I'm a design engineer. Pay is quite good, benefits are okay. But I think, with my skills and capabilities, I think I can do better. One thing more, I'm not really into being with my colleagues 'cause most of them are guys and what they find amusing or entertaining, I sometimes find them undesirable. The job gets a little bit boring at times and there were also times, we are under so much pressure. It's quite unstable for me. That's why if there would be another job a lot better with my current job with better compensation and all that, I will definitely grab that opportunity.

design engineer...? what? where are your nerdy glasses? haha! Well I hope you find something... Its tough out there for well trained/schooled women workers to find a good social atmosphere! Its still something that's growing in the world... If nothing else just work for becoming the boss lol.

Well wickedspies. I am a lawyer by profession,I dont want to proceed further in this job untill and unless my father is Alive, as he interferes in my official matters too much and I hate him for the that and some others deeds of him because of whom me and my younger brother are suffering too much humilation In our locality and at my work place.Just because of him I dont want to go out and my brother also stays all day at home, I am really searching for another job and its becasue of that I am working here on this site toearn money from home and could pay my bills. although I am going to apply soon for the exams of a judge tooo. Though its related to the same field but somewhat different as I will get status, power and money on the whole is I become a Judge. If taht happenes then the grass will be greener for me .No doubt about that. just pray for me.

hi, my current job involves making hotel reservations. I know my salary is just enough to keep me going every month however, I dont think I would like to do this for the rest of my working career. I feel like this is just a stepping stone for me to reach towards a higher goal in life. Actually what I would like to do is just earn earn and earn for now and once I have enough, I will build my own house and start my own business so I can be a full time parent, which is my ultimate goal. You are right though in saying that some people just love their current job so much that they find "utter bliss" with it. Some of my colleagues are like that, everyday they come to work looking like they're ready for the job and prepared to do everything to get promoted. Sadly, im just not one of them.

That sounds like a pretty decent job, though I'm sure you can get some really annoying vacationers though! The house idea is very cool, I would totally like to build my own house someday, though im sure it would cost more money than I have a.t.m XD. I find that my problem is, is that I'd always rather be doing something else lol. If only I could find a job that changes every 2 months! lol
