At the moment gold is at a record high price. A friend of mine cashed in her gold today. Her husband thought that she would get about £20 for it as she had a couple of rings and some broken chains. They were both amazed when she received £230 for the gold. I have been looking round the house for broken chains and rings but to no avail. Have you cashed in any gold ?

I purchased 100 grams of 999 purity gold in February this year, it is sort of investment for me, yes i sold some of my old rings, my wife's necklace and ear ring, but i got them purified first to get right price..
Thanks for sharing.
Welcome always.
Cheers.

So what is your friend going to do when the paper she received for her gold isn't worth....well...the paper it's printed on? I wouldn't be cashing gold in jst yet, at least not all of it. The attraction and advantage of gold is that even if it goes down in value, it still always has value. The fiat currency the world is running on today does NOT. SO what happens when currencies collapse? Keep your gold unless you are absolutely desperate for money, at least some of it. And don't just own gold certificates, get physical gold.
