Yes I get paid for them BUT you don't get paid for them until AFTER someone replies to them. So you may not be noticing it cause it may be happening a day or more later.

You only get paid for it if someone responds. I think it's so they aren't paying people for topics nobody cares about.

you'll notice that your rating goes up 1 after the first person replies, I have no idea if you get any sort of payment depending on how many responses you get

Nope.. i just realized it today.... yesterday I started a few discussions.. if you want to start a discussion, make sure that it's a topic that will catch EVERYONE'S interest.
