So I am considering buying one just because it looks fantastic and it would be great for browsing the internet... or so it seems anyways... does anyone have one that can tell me how it works? Would I be able to connect to the internet at home if I have dsl? or would I need wifi connect only? Does it seem to load fast and what not? what are the advantages and draw backs? Thanks!

If you are looking for feedback on Ipad then internet is the best place to get one. Most of the tech sites have reviewed it in one or the other way. All the sites have news about it. If you are buying it for its looks then you should definitely go for it. But you have mentioned of browsing internet. You should consider the fact that iPad doesn't support flash and thats why most of the sites will not work as they were meant to. But the positive side is that most sites are releasing the non-flash or iPad friendly versions of their websites to better serve them. Concerning about the dsl connectivity, I think it will not have it. It is just a fancy gadget and you will not get all those stuffs. If you are already owning an iPhone then there are lesser benefits of having iPad as both are same things in different sizes. Their interface, their OS are all same. You can connect to net through Wi-Fi, but make sure you purchase the wi-fi enabled version of iPad. At last Happy myLotting!

It could be done by rooting your iPad, but if I remembered correctly then it will void your warranty. There are some other products from other companies which are equally powerful(even more and with full flash support) and costs less.

There are tablet PCs, available from other manufacturers which are affordable and have all the features a laptop have.
