The Bhagavad Gita is one book that really changed my life. I was an over sensitive easy to anger guy as a schoolboy. My Hindi teacher asked me to read the BG, and that helped me mature from a schoolboy to an adult. The often insufficient explanations of the shlokas led me to learn Sanskrit, that today has made me very proficient in Sanskrit, and hence helped to learn from the Masters directly. One other book that influenced me this deeply was a textbook biography of Albert Einstein by Mary Hammontree.I made several readings of this book and almost developed a reverntial awe for Dr.Einstein.similarly life of Thomas Alva Edison also had a deep impression on my life. So much so that I have these two persons photograph adorning my cabin in office withe some very good quotes.

The book series: Series of Unfortunate Events got me hooked up for the whole week, so in a way i can say that it had some effect on my life. Although, i didn't change a bit after the week passed by.
