Hi Moumita, you could start giving her boiled and mashed potato with a little bit of pepper powder, salt and home made butter - this is very delicious and usually most babies like to eat it. Also if you are not giving her much carbs, you could also crush chapati very finely and give it soaked in dal with some veggies chunked in, like pumpkin, carrots, peas, some leafies too like spinach etc. in this mixture. Add homemade ghee and she will like it. What I used to for my son was to prepare pancakes with rice and moong dal mix, and add lots of finely chopped veggies, tomatoes in it, and he relished it! You could just try and make different comboes, add onions and little bit of garlic with tomatoes, mix of differebnt leafy veggies etc. You could also start her on boiled eggs now that she is more than a year old for her iron supplement.

When my kids were 15 months old, I boiled and mashed carrots, potatoes, sweet potato, cauliflower with hands, no blending in mixie. i added the stock of vegetables like beans, cabbage , greens. which were difficult mashing. Even palak can be mashed and mixed with rice. don't give too much of mashed food, since the baby will get used to swallowing and never will try to chew. u need to have patience, let her spit, but you go on feeding her. she will eventually start chewing.

Why do you need an indian mom to help you? Baby food has to be balanced everywhere in the world. Vegetables with seeds can be sieved. And if you have a blender, you can blen them to crush the seeds. You can also do that with a pestle. You can make creams with veggies with seeds and dice veggies that donĀ“t have seeds. Discover what seeds, if any, does she like. Luck!!!
