I don't know about the rest of you but I am certainly finding that the discussions on Mylot over the last few days have massively improved I have found so many well written and interesting discussions to join in and there seems to have been a great reduction in the 'how much can I make'type and one liner discussions. It certainly makes life a lot more interesting on here and gets the old grey cells working Thanks to all you lotters who are making this such a good site to be on!

Hello Oldchem1, I beg to disagree. If mylot had good topics and discussions, it was a few months ago before the rise of the new generation of my-loters. I can remember the discussions way back 2008 which was a lot more deeper than the ones i encounter in such discussions that leads to one heck of a debate. and some discussions last year that leads to a trend called "barging in" comments. but you are right that there has been some improvements of posting of people in they're discussions, but i still see some similar once.mylot is a good site.

Hi Letran! Yes those have come to a halt yet again. It seems that there are only a few that enjoy 'barging in' and last week there were others trying to tell them off for dong so Seems that the newer Lotters just don't get the meaning of the word 'discussion'

How can it be wrong to 'barge in'? Surely that is what makes a good discussion!!

I have only been a member since 4th May so I am judging the discussions from them, let's hope then they return to the standars you speak of in 2008!!

When i first started using mylot i didn't know i'll get this addicted to it because usually the things you do to earn money aren't interesting. But you can really have a good chat here and learn useful new things. And it's also easier to earn if you forget about earning and actually pay attention to discussions. Have a great day

Yes, but it's hard to forget sometimes because in this material world we are all taught to crave for money.

I agree, and ironically it is when you forget about the earning and start enjoying the discussions and joining in more that is when the earnings start to mount up!!

I have not been here long but I have also found that just enjoying myself and participating is the best thing to do and the money just comes along!

Hey that's true. I haven't visited myLot for the past few days because of the busy schedule. But for sure things are improving here. There was a time that almost everytime I would check on Mylot I can only see discussions such as "I am new in MyLot..." "How much can I make...?" etc. It made me lost interest. But of course there are still other members who post quality discussions.

There certainly are, and of course there will always be new members, but hopefully with the quality of other discussions they will soon follow suit

Hello OldChem. I noticed it too. I see how the topics from different categories have changed. I hope that our fellow Mylotters have been very serious of making good topics lately or the mods are really scanning the topics posted. LOL. I don't know. But after a few months of consistently browsing Mylot, I started to have a feeling that I want this to be very good community and a good source of information for everyone. :)

Hopefully they are all getting educated into staying away from such topics

I always found many interesting discussions in myLot, the problem is that sometimes they are drowned in a lot of spam. There is less one liners starting thirty discussions each day and no marathonian running for a record of posts in the Guiness book since a few days... These practices are harmful to myLot. When they disappear we are able to find more easily some good discussions.

You are so right about the 'spam', hopefully this practise will die down as they get reported more and more

Yeah true, i too have observed it, the people who just entered to earn money have left because money earned is not that more, but the people who engaged with discussion ( how had come for more money but found discussion interesting )are staying back, thats really good for a forum

Yes, there seems to be a bit of an improvement. Of course, I did not have too much of a problem with the discussions. Of course, I could have been lucky and been looking at the right discussions. Thus all of the discussions that were of not so good quality might have flown under my radar. Well not all of them, there were a few that seemed a bit underwhelming shall we say. Still there have been an improvement in the quality of discussions, just a little bit it seems. That is obviously a good thing. It will help spur more interesting topics, that will get thoughtful and though provoking responses. That's what this website is about in many ways. After all, if new members see a good example being given here, then they will in turn give quality discussions. It is really just as simple as that.

If one single line can express a thousand sentences then it is the best way to do it. That's my moto

A single line n English will always earn mor than a ramble in text style. There is no need to go on and on if a concise response is enough. The link doesn't work 3honor. http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx

and i was having so much fun teaing some of those one liners.. you're also quite right in saying that about the improvement in quality discussions here. i can even begin to understand myself right now... hehee...ahh..well, now that i got the jokes out of my system.. i've seen some nice discussions here lately. and some of them really made me think a bit too.. unfortunately i can't reply to them all just yet. my World Cup tv time is really intruding into my myLot time this month but i do try and keep an eye out for yours oldchem :) and i'll try and get back to them as soon as those soccer games are over ;)

Yeah many discussions are interesting. From the day I started ,the discussions have been interesting. The discussion I started have got good responses. I can clearly see that people post good meaningful responses, unlike other social networking forums.

I am just new on the myLot arena, so I can't differentiate the difference. However, I am enjoying my stay here on mylot.
