What is your view on the price of Starbucks coffee? I am a frequent patron of Starbucks coffee near my work place. I would go there at least once a week. Recently, I have this perception that starbucks coffee might be too expensive for me to go there every week, because my regulars, "Venti ice caramel machiato"; and "strawberry and Creme" charged around $4.50 per cup. I compared it to a regular Burger King value meal, also around this price. That makes me feel expensive. Because a meal like this price makes me one meal, instead, it only give me a cup of coffee for leisure enjoyment. So, would that make starbucks coffee expensive for you?

In my country people going to Starbucks not just for have a cup of coffee reason. But sometimes they prefer Starbucks for hang out with their friend. It's more about lifestyle. Yes, I could say that Starbucks is about lifestyle. So for me, Starbucks is not expensive. I go to there about once in two weeks. But in your case, if I be you, I could say that yes you spend a lot of money there and it's expensive. Because you make it regulars.

I agree. Starbucks is more of a lifestyle choice. The cafe lifestyle. Sometimes it's more of a status symbol. I go there for coffee though, but not as often as I would like because of the expense.

If it's not then all of the people would like to sip one of their coffees.

Yeah swetashah, to me the price of Starbucks coffee in my place is rather higher. My husband likes spending our few day vacation at the hilltop resort several times yearly. Other than the cold weather as well as fresh air and delicious foods available here he does like to spend his time having fun in the casino together with his friends. I mostly spend my time enjoy the beverage as well as the desserts served there. Yeah of course surfing net at the same time. Might be the price of beverages entertained there are rather expensive compared to those in Burger King. But it's thicker and much tasty than those prepared in other coffee outlet. The expensive price makes many people go no further into it. I think this is the main reason why the Burger King here is always too crowded with customers. Anyway I prefer to enjoy my leisure time to surf net in startbucks where the environment there is more comfortable. moreover my husband is the one who pays the bill Have a nice day

I would think if it is "Venti ice caramel machiato' that is it a treat and I would not order it all the time. NOw if it was $$.00 before and they suddenly raised the price and kept raising the price, I would consider it too expensive And it would be reserved for special occasions. Besides I am a Tim Horton;'s fan and they have their expensive coffee treats and the only time I will have it is when i have something to celebrate or need to make myself feel good.

Maybe it depends on the location. Here, Starbucks coffee isn't too expensive. Last time I went to Starbucks, I bought a cup of cappucino for two dollars. If I drink coffee from Starbucks everyday then the cost would definitely add up (2 dollar coffees*7 days a week =14 dollars) but I think it's a pretty cheap treat every once in a while.

In our place, going to Starbucks would mean that your status symbol is that of an above average individual, so, if you really can't sustain it then it would be expensive to visit on a regular basis. We would only go there if a friend would treat us or if it's payday.

To answer your question, YES but since this is the time of year when things are HOT on my side of the world, I dont drink hot stuff. but during the winter and spring I do and then I keep it to a cup a week. If I can't I don't.

Yes, I think they are a bit too expensive, to tell you the truth, but I love their coffee, so I get it anyway. I get a bit annoyed at the price sometimes though, but what can you do when you love their coffee so much?

It is very expensive in my opinion! But it is also fashionable to "meet at Starbucks" or do your homework there. It is so much cheaper to drink coffee at home but it really doesn't feel the same as when you get out to a Starbucks!!
