I have been sufferring for over 2 years now a debilitating vertigo that comes almost always surprisingly. Though, I have noticed that a neck pain would trigger an attack, there were times when it came rather unexpectedly. I have been to so many Doctors and to no avail. They would just say it's a normal vertigo and a rest would generally treat it. I was surprised to discover today as I was browsing some articles over readbum.com when Dr. ali described something that perfectly matches with the symptoms i have with my vertigo. He calls it "Ali syndrome" which centers the problem on neck. He said the problem can be triggered by stress, a fall or sleeping with 2 pillows resulting to a slight displacement of some of the vertebrae in the neck which compresses the vertebral arteries that carries blood to the brain so that the blood supply to the brain is diminished. I found his explanation quite impressive. Because less blood means less oxygen. If our brain has less supply of oxygen, this can trigger vertigo. I kind of agree when he said that a holistic approach is effective to target this problem which consist of yoga, massage, dietary modifications and meditation. In the next few days, i will be doing some of these approach to find out if some improvements will take place. I hope i will find some videos on yoga.. Can you suggest where i can find one?
