The over or under debate~And I nearly had a nervous breakdown this morning!

OK, I knew I had it bad...but I really, honestly didn't know I had it THAT bad!! I'm a firm, very firm believer that the toilet paper and paper towels definitely roll over!! NOT UNDER, OVER!! If I'm even at a friends house and I go for the paper towels or toilet paper and they're rolled under I will turn them around. I've never had any of my friends tell me not to but I've had some pretty strange looks in the kitchen as I'm switching paper towels around!! HAHAHAH So, what was the nervous breakdown about? I reached up to grab a paper towel and they were rolled UNDER this morning!!! I'M IN SHOCK!! IN MY OWN HOME!! I don't know how in the world this happened as I am the only one who puts the towels on their hanger. The only thing I can think is my sons little friend was over yesterday and my husband asked her to wash his windshield. I seen her out with a roll of paper towels and the window cleaner, so maybe, when she got done she put the roll she had up on the towel holder. Maybe the towels in it's place were almost all used up. Like I said, I knew I had it bad, but having the towels rolled under in my house just really threw me for a loop this morning!

That is funny to me because I have a stick holder too and I couldn't stand the towels rolling the way they did, so I had my hubby screw it to the wall!! I get some really weird looks. One of these days I'll go buy me a new holder and won't get those looks anymore, but until than, I guess if they don't like the looks of my stick holder hanging on the wall, they just can turn their heads and not look. Because at least my towels roll the way I want them too now!

LOL, but it was so funny (otherwise I would have never posted it!) when I think about it..I was all rialed up over paper towels hanging the wrong way. First thing I did this morning was made sure no one had bothered those darn things!! Cicilia and Dante's Nana

I like it under but no one else seems to, it doesn't matter much to me to be honest. Maybe your husband put them back up there absentmindedly? If he never does it then he probably just put them up there without thinking, or the girl could have done it. I don't know, I wouldn't put the paper towels back up there unless I was familiar with the house, that's just me.. Not accusing anyone though. I know what ya mean about everything in it's place though.

Hi, cicisnana. I have never heard of paper towels rolling under. But for toilet paper, I have heard of. My in-laws snap their toilet roll upright and when I pull the sheets, I will have to pull it like I am pulling from under the roll. I thought that was strange. I always pulled from the front as long as I have been living. My guess is that they think that this is easier to do.

LOL, that's funny. I like my toilet paper rolled over too. If someone changes it and put it under, I swtich it around. For me it's just easier to use if it's over, not under. As far as the paper towels, I have one of those paper towel holders that sits on the counter and the paper towels are up-right. I have to have them come out from the right, not the left. If that makes any sense lol. Have a good lotting day.

That's what I have Lilcee, and there's where I almost had another nervous breakdown, my paper towels were always falling over the edge. So I had my husband screw it to the wall!! I get some odd looks from that, let me tell you!!

Don't have a nervous breakdown . it is not worth it over toilet paper or paper towels. it won't be the end of the world if they are not rolled to your liking. These things can be fixed.

LOL, I know, I know. I guess my expression over the paper towels must have been priceless because my 16 year old son was like "Mom, what's wrong." When I told him it was like he couldn't believe his ears, mom was freaking out because the paper towels rolled the wrong way. I heard him go off snickering, I don't know if he was snickering because he thought I was acting totally nuts or if he had changed the roll on me. That little rat, I shall find out!!
