deaths on their oil rig? I've heard interviews with fammily members of some of the men who died on the rig. One woman stated that her husband knew of the dangers and made preparations in case something happened to him. He told her things were not right. BP emails, memos and other documents have come to light that show that BP made a series of money saving shortcuts that increased the risks of danger on the rig. In the past five years, BP has been cited for 760 safety violations and has paid out $373 million in fines. In contrast, the maximum violations from other oil companies in the last five years is eight. Also in the last five years, 26 people have died on BP rigs, and 700 have been injured. In my mind, BP is guilty of murder. It appears to me that they put profits first and really didn't give a fig about the well-being of their workers. Someone should go to jail...for a long time.

Heck yes! BP should be held crimally responsible for the oil rig explosion! Some on or someones should go to jail! Tony Hayward should! He is the BP CEO and I think he is one person that needs to held responsible! I think the BP memebrs who tried to save money and took shortcuts on the rig should go to prison too! BP is guilty of murder and beng irresponsible with the not tapping of the oil well, the oil clean up and not paying people money because they lost their lively hoods thanks to BP! BP is really screwed!

Thanks for your response, blue. I have no doubt thay are being held responsible for cleaning up the oil and paying the gulf area people who hare affected. I want them to stand trial for murder...and I mean anyone who chose to disregard the proper procedure and chose to save time and money instead.
