lets say silver goes to 50 plus dollars in oh 2012 or so and i paid 20 per ounce. How hard is it to sell it on ebay? Would i have to find out what it would cost to ship first? I was thinking that i could make it only for people in canada , would the shipping be the same for anywhere in canada? I personally think that silver will go up at least double in the next few years and i will make a resonable profit on my inital investment of around 500 dollars.Who else out there is stockpiling silver in anticipation that it will go up.Anyone out there think it will or have any proof it may skyrocket soon.

And what if the economies of Japan, 1/2 of Europe and the US go boom? Then you have a great hedge. When the current currency is practically worthless, you'll have a valuable precious metal that can purchase services and goods. If economies start to falter, all countries will be affected in some way...especially if the US falters. I think you are doing the right thing, collecting silver. I wish I had the money to buy some silver, I'd love to have some in case things go bad. As for the shipping in Canada, I can't answer that for you, but I know that shipping within the US costs me as much as it does to Canada (give or take a few cents). As far as selling silver on a site like eBay... 1 oz silver coins are currently selling for anywhere between $23-$28 (US) including shipping, and almost every coin priced in that range is receiving bids. Good luck with your investment!

I disagree with consult somewhat. The 'What ifs' in life are usually not good. But in this case, I think it is fair to assume that price of silver will go up along with any metal, precious or otherwise. After all, they are from natural resources and we all know the natural resources are depleting every year, and the demand increased as population increased as well. Therefore, it is safe to assume that the value of silver will increase. I can not afford to stockpile anything. Whatever I have is spent on trying to build our family business. If I have money, I would stockpile on Gold and Silver. If you are planning to sell on ebay, yes, the first thing is to find out the cost of postage to wherever you want to sell it to. You might want to do more research on the postage cost, as I have no idea how the postal department or courier industry is in Canada. Find out the cost per ounce or something. The postal department will be able to tell you if the cost of sending to anywhere in Canada is same or not. Good Luck. I hope you gain a lot of profit from it. Don't forget to share.

what if silver loses all the shine and vigor? and, what if, water becomes costlier than silver, gold, and platinum? ... so, I would say, live happily now, spending lavishly. instead of hoarding the stuff. the prices may sky rocket, or doom.. but, you are sure to lose all the shine and spark of life, just trying to save it from thieves and the revenue services intelligence. .. there is no guarantee that the government tax rules will be the same. goodluck, and sorry to have given a negative touch to the silver shine
