There will always be a market for real aka hardcore games. I for one don't play any online games. They are so repetitive, or at least seem more so than offline games because there is rarely a story, so there is hardly a motivation for the gaming part. Also you have to be online for online games, unlike offline games that have no lag.

Yeah, I really don't like the gameplay in MMO's, it's all about grinding and how long you've been playing as opposed to actual skill.

I see games like a good book, I'm there for the story and the characters and sometimes even the game play. I'm not playing to flaunt my "e-peen" by proving how I can utterly crushing other people's characters. Unless it's a strictly enforced RP only MMO then that's just not going to happen. You're going to wind up with people being jerks, and begging people to give them stuff that they could have gotten themselves if they hadn't sat there for twenty minutes asking for someone to hand it to them. -.-; So there will always be a money to be made from games that aren't massively multiplayer thus there will always be non massively multiplayer games being made. The one saving grace of modern society.

Nintendo - Nintendo handheld games console.
Depends what you mean by 'other games' ? Do you mean handheld electronic games like nintendo or do you mean board games like chess. There are new games released everyday on the internet but the quality of most of them is very poor, and the playability real lacks. With the internet ever growing it was bound to happen that most games will be developed online, but it does not necessarily mean off line games will cease to exist. Have a happy day here in myLot.

I don't really like the growing trend in online games and MMO's, I feel like they can't really convey a story like single player games can. Final Fantasy XIV is coming up and I've always loved the Final Fantasy games, but I don't think that I'll ever be able to like it or XI as much as I liked X and XII, single player games. I still have both of them for PS2 and replay them every once in a while.

Yes, I think online games will be more and more popular in the future, and it will be hard for game consoles and especially for console games to make big profits. I hope I am wrong though! (But this is pretty much what my gut tells me)
