Sellers don't have to be honest about the used car

Is that a truth, most private sellers or dealership are not required by law to be honest about the used cars they are selling? So, when a used car is sold as it is, after all the transaction procedure is done, it is your, the new owner responsibility of it, unless the car still carries a warranty which is transfered to you. I heard about one guy recently bought a used car; he didn't make it home, the car just broke down at the road. What a horrible instance. So, if you want to know whether the car is still in good shape or not, make sure check with a mechanic for the car you are about to buy.

yup! i've also encountered this when i bought a used car. i didn't even used the car and i had to have it overhauled after 3 days of ownership. there should be a way to get back at this sellers.

well i have some bad encounters with 2nd hand seller companies. Theyll try to sweet talk you about the car but what they are saying is different from the papers of the car. well if your interested but don't know of any mechanic, first look at the papers of the car then if your really interested then look for a mechanic that will accompany you.
