When to start using anti-aging creams?

I am 25 years old and am planning to use anti-aging creams. I do not have any signs of aging on my face or skin, but just wants to know if its safe to use them now. I am warned by few friends saying, I should use them only after 30 and by some that I am too late in using them and to start off immediately. As the saying goes.."Start young to stay young"? What's your advice?

Hi keep_onwatch, It is not good to start using anti-aging creams at this age. At this age the hormones will take care of your skin beauty. To make hormones active you must do little body exercise and you should be happy. Still if you want to apply creams then go for natural creams like honey, curd mix with saffron, milk with honey or just wash your face with plain water (should not use soap) in the night while going to sleep so that you will have good sleep. Keep your mind always engaged to some work. If you are worry or in tension all will work on your body and skin beauty. If you become more than 50 years also use only home based products for skin care like olive oil, ghee, coconut oil apply to your face and body 1 hour before bath. Eat balanced food. If you do like this no need of using anti aging creams at all, you will be looking young.

If you use any of the product, it will make you to use again and again otherwise your face will look different. That natural charm will go. Unless you use that cream again you will not look good.

This is what I think: At 25 you need to take care of your skin in other ways (don't smoke, stay out of the sun, get enough sleep, moisturize and so on), and not by using anti aging creams. The small, non cosmetic things you do now, will have a great impact on your skin later on, so focus on that for now. At around 35, you should start with anti aging creams!

Yup I guess you are right, and thanx 4 those tips, I'm sure I do maintain all of them for now, except for staying outta the sun, I need to be out mostly! Of course I use sun screens, but I'm not sure how much they can really protect.

Hi there Keep on Watch! I think that the ideal age for using anti-aging cream is when you reach 30 but it also depends upon your environment. If you are living somewhere where it's really warm like the sunlight is really strong or if you're too exposed on spotlights, using make ups, then you should start earlier.

I am 58 and I still don't use anti-aging creams. If you moisturise your skin well when you're young, and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, your skin should stay young looking well into your 60s. However, if you smoke, that can cause wrinkles around the mouth, as can too much sun.

Yup, I keep moisturizing always and I don't smoke either, but the climate I live is mostly hot, so I guess there's no protection from that. Thanx 4 ur response.

I think you need to use it at the age of 40. Cause it's made for old skin. You're still 25, there might be a different reaction once you used it in an early age.

Why do you want to use anti-aging cream, do you not think that your smart and beautiful, be good as you are, using creams may spoil ur natural beauty Sameer

Dermatologist says that skin starts againg by the age of 25. So you should start as early as you can not because you are getting wrinkles and stuff but because you want to age gracefully cause no matter what kind of expensive creams you use. Your skin will continue to sag as you advance in age but preventing them from happening too early is what youre suppose to be doing . So youre never too young to start using Anti agin creams. And dont forget to use spf daily
