Summer trip plan, should I execute it?

A good friend of mine just called me if I am interest in going to California with him during the mid - July. His cousin will be the tour guide taking us to Mexico. It would be 2 hours drive from where he lives, and we gonna have a blast. I would very much love to go, and I just need to inform my work if my schedule would allow me to take a week or so. I never been to Mexico, and his suggestion just have me curious. Have anyone living in California here driving down to Mexico border before? How was it? Is it cheap, a lot of fun there?

well nowadays with this economy nothings cheap haha..But mexico IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS.It all depends on where you go though..But as myself..with all the crazy things thats actually happening on the border i wouldnt go..Especially since the military is getting involved and my husbands army..No its not cheap until you get to mexico..And yes its a unique experience really..Its so much different compared to our country. The hispanics are very friendly. You can buy things cheaper there..I think you would enjoy it.
