Hi all, I woke this morning with an ulcer pain in my stomach. Despite the pain, I ate a light breakfast, and I just finished eating lunch. I like drinking a lot of water but it seems that everytime I drink water, My tummy hearts more. I'm finding it a nuisance while working. I have a project and I want to finish it before tomorrow. This making me work slower and slouch a lot. How do I remedy this? any ideas? Thanks

What do you think caused the pain? or triggered it? Did you miss taking dinner last night or probably what you have taken last night? Or did you skipped taking your dinner? Or you probably have indigestion, that is why you feel the pain this morning. When you woke up, did you take a medicine for ulcer? What do you usually take when you have pains? Ulcer or gastritis is also usual for me and before it attacks I would do the prevention. An advise, do not take fatty or oily foods, high in acid like citrus, foods that are hard to digest. Do not skip meal, that is a no no. Take 2 tablet of Cremil S when it already aches. That is an instant relief and prevention medicine. When there is still pain, eat skyflakes instead of eating rice with meat. You can also take a cup of noodles with the skyflakes for the moment. When there is still pain even if you have taken cremil S, consult your doctor. I wanted to recommend a medicine, but I am afraid it will not work for you because I am not a doctor.

thanks maean. I used to take Kremil S but it doesn't seem to work for me. I only take 1 tablet though. I ate dinner last night, my normal intake actually. Maybe it's related to me eating yogurt before sleeping. I ate a cup of nestle's strawberry yogurt. I'll take your advice and see a doctor tomorrow! thanks for your very detailed reply :)

As you cannot be sure that you have an ulcer I would advise you to visit your local doctor as soon as possible or visit a walk in centre if you have one nearby and cannot get a doctors appointment. Also, something like Gaviscon may help with the pain that you are having. Do not leave it and assume that it will go away just because you are busy. I hope you get better soon.

I have also experience ulcer before. Everytime I have that, I will just drink tru orange softdrinks and I will mixed up with egg. Stir it thoroughly and just drink it. That is what my late grandma and grandpa taught me before. And it is effective for me.

you have to visit your doctor to check what type of ulcer do you have, ulcer that caused by bacterial infection should be cured by antiobiotics.. ulcer caused by hyperacidity will be cured accordingly.. just avoid eating spicy foods, coffee, soda for the main time.. or is not ulcer after all just hyper acidity...try eating bananas as they act as natural antacids.. i was suffering from stomach pains for during my school days and i thought it was ulcer..it turned out to be as hyperacidity only..and bananas made wonder...

The best solution would be to consult a doctor considering that there are different types of ulcers. For the meantime, do not eat to much but take foods in between rather than eating a lot. Eating a lot of food on time will contribute to more acid and perhaps pain. Avoid food and drinks most especially carbonated drinks.

Get yourself checked up with a doctor. There's no use working in pain. It'll just make you work slower.

hello knicnax! when i was in high school, i used to have chronic pain in my stomach. I later discovered it to be ulcer. I was then advised by my aunt to drink plain evaporated milk straight from the can before eating a meal, straight for 3 days. i followed her advise and soon enough, the pain ultimately disappeared. Now years later, i read somewhere that milk is suppose to aggravate ulcers. I don't know why mine's disappeared. now however, when i have pain attacks in my stomach, i just drink antacids..it dissipates the pain after a while..

Hi, sounds like you are suffering from a chronic pain. I heard that stomach ulcers are quite difficult to cure, how about you consult a doctor? In the meantime, having regular meals and avoid foods that cause irritaion (food that are too spicy or too sour) might help.
